Frugal Family Health Insurance: Dream or Reality?

You have a family and you now would like to get health insurance for your family and have it be cost effective. Well, don’t count on that if you are one of several thousands of Americans who either has a posh group medical plan at your job or doesn’t qualify for public medical assistance. Many say health care cost has gotten better the past few years and HMO and other managed care costs are better and lower than ever. Most of the working class America has a hard enough time paying a rent or mortgage, clothing, gas, food, and monthly bills. Who has the extra for a family medical plan? Even with a half way decent employer, you would still have to pay at least $150 per week to cover the kids and spouse. If you have no kids, the price doesn’t change. The only good thing is if you add more kids the plan doesn’t change then, either. What do you do if you don’t have an extra $150 a week to invest in this? What are your options to provide in case of an emergency?

Adults and Skin Cancer

Skin cancer is the most common form of cancer to strike people than any other form of cancer.  Skin cancer is more common in fair-skinned people, but all skin types can develop skin cancer.  The main cause of this form of cancer is from ultraviolet radiation from too much time spent in the sun.  Catching skin cancer early, and avoiding overexposure to the sun are the two best ways to prevent skin cancer.  The three major causes of skin cancer are heredity, environment, and ultraviolet light damage to the skin, mostly in children and teenagers.  Studies show adults receive half of their lifetime ultraviolet exposure when they are 20 years old.

Chronic Fatigue Syndrome in Teenagers

The cause of chronic fatigue syndrome has not yet been determined.  Research has been looking into it for a longtime.  Some think that an infection can cause it, but there is no definite medical proof.  The two main groups of people at risk for having chronic fatigue syndrome is those between 15 and 20 years old, and between 33 and 45.  Two thirds of the sufferers of chronic fatigue syndrome are women.  Those are typical years for CFS but it can occur within any group and in any society.  Some people have CFS and are not diagnosed.

It’s scary when you realize your child has a fever, but unfortunately, most parents will face the problem with their child.  All kids get fevers and are usually back to normal within a few days.  The way your child is acting is more of an indicator sometimes than a fever.  Don’t be concerned if they are cranky, everyone gets cranky when they have temperature even adults.  If your child stops playing, smiling, eating and drinking and they don’t urinate regularly, that is a sign you should contact your child’s doctor.
